12th January 2016 - Geography local walk
As part of our geography learning we went on a local walk to gain first hand experiences of human and physical features of Castleford.
15th December 2015 - Christmas Party.
We all enjoyed our Christmas party. We played many games such as pace the parcel and musical statues. We celebrated with our party food which was enjoyed by all. Thank you to the parents for their continued support and contribution to party food.
10th November 2015 - Medieval Day.
Wow! What a fantastic day we have had. Thank you to all the parents for your support with home learning projects, it was lovely to see so many children taking part. The costumes ranged from blacksmiths and servants to knights and princess. So many features of these costumes were hand made of which the children enjoyed sharing with their friends as well as parents in the afternoon.
Today the children enjoyed many activities including, sword fighting, javelin, embroidery, story writing, flag making, quill writing, making crowns, swords, and shields.
In the first half term children enjoyed reading the story The Lonely Beast. The children were given opportunities to role play a scene from the story and freeze in role.
The Beast entered the city and this was the response from the people who lived there. Can you guess who is the Beast in these freeze frame shots?
